This is the time of year where we focus on getting things in order, relishing the ending of summer fun while slowly getting back into the groove of all things serious . . . like back to school, getting the young ones into a new routine and for many going back into the office. For those who are real serious about how they dress or work in the fashion industry, Fashion Week...Which has so enticingly come and gone in October while November winds usher us on a search for new found cold weather favorites for the new brisk temperatures!
Which means new clothes or rethinking how to make those beloved pieces you've so lovingly built up from past seasons into new never before thought of ways to wear. Eagerly awaiting the fall fashion shows to tell & show... what's in this season and what not to wear because as always! Fashion is ever evolving and what's old is new & what's new is old.
It's quite fun to see all the latest + greatest styles! How we can incorporate these new ideas & trends into our own personal wardrobe. While checking our bank accounts and still further deep diving to switch the stored up last seasons trusted treasures to figure out what you can work with, what you will keep stored for another season while lastly checking your pocketbook & trusty wardrobe budget determines for your new seasonal wardrobe.
The best Fashionista's shop anywhere from the latest newest shop, to the greatest or their classic favorite known shops with some fun & very serious thrifting in-between! I've been seeing some wonderful DIY ideas I too want to try and add to my newest designs...like updating men's thrifted jackets or just refreshing one of my old ones to make new again. Oh and why not add a baseball cap or tame' to the list to update as well? Something old, something new like taking a classic button down shirt and adding buttons, stones or even safety pins to the collar is an instant update & adorning old neckties with pretty pins & brooches like my grandmother wore on every lapel of her jackets is an instant update to any wardrobe.
It's getting pretty cold at night and in the early mornings so of course thick sweater vests & oversized sweaters are making their way to the forefront alongside some really pretty and unique jackets + coats this season! I would love to hear from you as to what your favorite winter styles are and by all means share some pix too!
In the meantime while I am out walking my furbaby, I will take some more pictures for inspiration of the beautiful changing leaves up in the sky and those which have fallen to the Earth... This helps me come up with some of my color palettes and helps me to create new designs for the season from the shapes I see along the way!
Yours Warmly,
